"You know it.", Melanie blew her lover a kiss; normal fighters would have saluted each other but they were more than just opponents on a ring, so she just chuckled nonchalantly, "I have to, to be your girlfriend..."

She felt Ali's powerful aura coursing through her fist and knew that despite her own toughness she'd never be able to block that with just her body, so she channeled her own Aura into her own fist, both to harden her muscles to not take so much damage from her beloved's wild punch, but mostly increase her own impact. She'd use her speed to intercept the attack, before her punch could connect with her face or body, twisting her hips and shoulders into the parry to knock Ali's arm away and expose her flank. She'd grit her teeth from the pain of striking such a large mass of aura, but pull through it so spring her forearm stretched into a snapping backhand punch to her jaw, turning her body back forwards right before impact.

This parry and counter would all be executed in a single fluid motion using the shortest possible path to maximize her speed, bursting the two into one movement and following up by hooking her forward shin behind Ali's left knee and sweeping further to the left, hopefully using her momentum to knock her off balance and delay her follow up... At best she migh even manage to knock her down once

To say Alice was not disapointed about Mel's strong defence was an understatement, even more upsetting was the incoming counter, the girl grit her teeth and lowered her head into backhand punch, just barely avoiding the hit to her jaw and catching it with the forehead instead. She had no fighting style that in cooperated any way of defence, so the best she was able to do was to keep her teeth intact.

To the spectators it must have looked like matador engaging a raging bull. The crowd got louder at the display of the amazing counter, but this only enraged Alice more. “Hardly hurts.”

After quickly wiping over her forehead to check for blood she engaged the next dash. She had no plan, she was making it all up on the spot.

Jumping into melee range of Melanie she gathered every last drop of her Aura into her fist again, totally disregarding any form of defence. This charged she ducked into Mel, crashing body against body. With the girls being about equally speedy and Alice clearly overwhelming Melanie in the strength department there was no reason to hold back or use any secret ploy. Alice was as strong as she expected, hell she was a lot stronger than that. Melanie never imagined that she'd still be this strong even without her nen, but there she was, fighting like a brawler and still giving the trained martial artist a hard time. The crowd seemed pretty excited at Melanie's sudden burst, and she could tell even Ali was having fun, even if she looked angrier than anything. Melanie just grinned:

"Is that so? Come, then.", she answered as the girl wiped the blood off her forehead, never once having faced an opponent this exciting ever since she unlocked her use of aura. Feeling her blood boil was indeed an exquisite sensation, it wasn't hard to understand how Alice might be addicted to it just like she was addicted to sex.

Melanie was slightly faster than her opponent, and by staying mobile and on her toes, she was constantly ready to burst in any directon. Seeing the girl suddenly duck mid dash, she reacted appropriately by taking a quick step back and then pulling onto Alice's uppercutting fist (infusing Aura into her arms to withstand the damage) while simultaneously empowering her right leg to perfrom a quick thrusting low kick to her leg - which wouldn't hurt much but would hopefully knock her down by by stopping by knocking her off balance with her own momentum. Using the opponent's energy against them instead of opposing it, redirecting instead of stopping, was an essential principle of her fighting style and even more crucial against someone like Alice who was physically a lot stronger than her.

Even without a plan Alice had accepted something as simple as another sweep would be coming, all her girlfriend thought of was getting Alice laid after all. She was reasonable prepared, for once switching out of her pure offensive mode and quickly aligning all Aura she had into defence, steeling her legs for the incoming sweep and just take it head on. “This is not going anywhere, I feel.” She quickly pulled her arm free and made a few steps back, raising her arms to guard any form of follow up attack. Mel indeed was an iron maiden and a hard to crack one at that too, she had to start saving up energy quickly.

Again she solidified her stance to prepare for any more sweeps, while keeping her guard up. The crowd clearly got a little upset at her sudden change in pace. Since Mel was a newbie to the use of Aura she had a plan to get the upper hand, it just needed a little preparation, too bad the audience was unable to see, because all of a sudden before Mel's eyes the girl's Aura started to expand and then collapsed into nothing, basically not strengthening a single part of her body with Aura at all.

As if she was saying “this is all I need against you” she smirked at Mel and dropped her guard, even if she was not using any Aura, she wanted to keep the dark haired girl occupied, before she understood what Alice was planing. So she smashed both fists together again started circling Mel slowly, keeping her body light and ready to react to any attack.

Though she could endure Ali's punch, she couldn't knock her down as she blocked the full extent of her attack. Feeling the girl pull her arm free, Melanie saw a great opening to follow up since her sweeping leg was still up in the air: Quickly leaning back slightly, she attepted a swift and powerful thrusting side kick to her gut, channeling all her power around her kicking leg to finally maximize damage. It was an unusual switch since Alice had so far been doing an all out offense with Melanie going fully defensive as was her specialty... She never did full offense like this unless such a perfect opportunity presented itself, but when it did she wasn't one to waste it:

"I'm hurt, Ali-chan; it feels like you're underestimating me.", she answered with a playful pout, letting the girl recover from her own attack. She felt her suppressing her aura, and that was the kind of message it gave out...

The crowd seemed bored with their latest display, but then Melanie herself might have been too if she was on the viewing end. That last round had been about proving a point, about proving to her girlfriend that she could take her attack and remain standing, even if she hadn't been able to knock her down as intended. She kept her guard up and awaited the counter attack from the fiesty redhead...

“Guess they like it better when I act stupid”, thought Alice out loud taking a look at the crowd, “well I like it better too.” Jumping away from Mel one more time to put enough space between them to get some momentum going she was ready to go into action.

Having gathered enough Aura Alice was ready to start her assault again. It was time to stop messing around and go ALL OUT! While there had be no Aura visible to Mel before suddenly lighted up like a firework display. “Here goes nothing!” With a loud yell the girl jumped up into the air, casing her leg in all of her Aura. Her eyes fixed on the girl below her, the plan: SMASH HER with all she had and even if she missed or only grazed Mel she would leave the arena in splinters.

Mid-air she spun around, increasing her momentum as much as she could, while still pulling more of her Aura into her leg. Then she came crashing down. A loud noise echoed through the audience and dust and splinters filled the air, as the whole arena shook under the heavy impact. Alice herself was unsure if she had hit or not. From the view presented to her she was sure that she had hit “something”.

"Nobody does it better sweetie.", Melly blew another kiss at Alice who stood on the other end of the ring, quipping her usual witty remark at her commenting on the crowd who seemed far more interested in the girl's all out offensive style

She had her guard up as Ali was suddenly onto her, fully offensive like before. Though she wasn't surprised to see her flare up her aura once again, her eyes widened visibly when she saw how her beloved's fiery aura was now even stronger than before, a feat Melanie didn't believe possible through any means other than focused meditation. It would be a very bad idea to take that blow head on, even though the way she attacked presented the perfect opportunity for interception, she wouldn't be able to do it without channeling her aura into defense.

There was not a moment to waste talking, taunting or even thinking. Narrowing her eyes, all she could do was react by parrying Ali's kick with her elbow the moment she came crashing down - hurting it quite a good bit but pushing throught the pain - leaving a large bruise and an even bigger gash across her elbow and forearm. It would knock her off target enough that Melanie would still remain standing, and likely hurt Ali's leg too somewhat, even if it wasn't that much by comparison:

"Wow, Ali-chan. If I had taken that head on, that would be all she wrote...", she looked at her lover with a smile of gleaming admiration as the smoke cleared, making good on the cool nonchalance Alice had grown to know her for.

Blood and sweat dripped off her face and arm as she stood her ground with stubborn determination, resuming her stance and awaiting a followup as they now fought in a mostly destroyed ring that could hardly be called such...

As the dust began to settle Alice shake her leg a little, the pain in it was rather strong. It seemed broken. Apparently what she had hit was Mel's elbow. She felt stupid, when her goal was to break something instead she broke herself. It was so frustrating Alice just wanted to use all her strength to finally crush that silly wall, that was Melanie, but they had decided to not use any Nen.

The only thing she had really shattered was the arena, they were now standing in a small crater, where the ring had been, as the dust slowly settled the crowd roared in excitement, obviously they did not understand that the redhead's attack had backfired that much.

“You are no fun, it would have been much cooler to take it head on.” It was incredible hard to see through the dust but Alice could hardly stand from the pain, lucky no bone was sticking out, she did not want to show her mistake. As long as she was able to shift her weight of the broken leg and onto the healthy one she was fine, but any sort of fast movement was out of the question. Alice could not even close the few meters distance between the two. “Well time to charge another attack, this time even stronger.” She had to make Melanie close the distance in an effort to stop Alice from channelling enough Aura to repeat the same move again, even when Alice was not able to jump again.

Her arm was pretty hurt but it was still well enough that Melanie would try fighting like that. Alice, however, had been hurt far more than Melanie imagined, judging by the damage she'd taken so far from her attacks which was limited. She had indeed gone all out but still appeared to have more than enough energy to keep going. The crowd seemed a lot more excited at their display, while Melanie could tell from Ali's leg that the girl would have a hard time running around too much. The arena itself had been reduced to little more than a crater but at this point Mel didn't really care about whether or not they'd get paid. She wanted to see just how much more fun Alice could be!

"I can't make it so easy for you, can I?", commented Melanie, before she tried to attempt what up until now she believed impossible, taking a deep breath and suppressing the flow of her aura. She had accomplished the same during meditation but maybe the only thing stopping her from doing it in combat was her own self imposed limitation? She could feel her aura well up inside slightly...

Was this how Alice did it? Seemed like it... Melanie would have taken the opening to attack but she instead chose to watch her lover closely and imitate her, much like how she learned from her fellow students and master... Her expression remained calm, momentarily overcoming her own hot blooded desire to win and show her girlfriend she was more than capable of keeping up with her: Melly still had her pride after all.

Alice had it with this stupid fight. Even after taunting her all Melanie did was stand there, if that was how she wanted to fight then it was no fun at all. “Mel, you bore me”, she muttered, “I though a battle between us would be more fun, but all you do is stand there.” While speaking she slowly moved towards the other girl, clearly limping. “I gave you a chance to attack, twice already, yet all you do is stand there.” Approaching the girl like a soulless zombie her Aura flared up, she clearly was annoyed at how disappointing the fight had been, she just wanted to end it right there. Dragging her leg behind she let her arms down and as her Aura kept pulsing like a flame in the wind.

The pain in her leg made her head go numb, it was not easy to think of the best solution to fight in this situation, if she was not careful she would lose another arm or leg, but that was fine as long as the fight came to an end with her winning. She had saved up quite a lot of Aura, but she was unsure if she needed more. At the same time she also sensed that Mel was doing the same. Was the best idea to bring out her flaming sword? The spectators sure would be excited and it would have helped to make the distance between the girls less of a problem. The crater they were fighting in was small enough, that if Alice reached the middle every corner was into her reach.

Obviously all that was not part of her calculation. “Lets end it with one strike!” Having said that her Aura shoot up along her arm, forming the burning blade which Mel had seen before. Taller than its wielder herself and  just as broad, covered in flames, even visible to the surrounding crowd to began to roar in excitement at the sudden event. Even as massive as it was, the girl held it up as if it was light as a feather. Then she swung it around, crashing through the dust around her, with unbelievable ease, before finally swinging it straight down at Mel, with all the strength she had left.
