Just a thought I had while dreaming up weird nen ideas. I think it'd be cool if there would be dojos run by nen masters/hunters that in exchange for modest jenny costs will give special training oriented quests that give exceptional exp upon completion. Naturally as you are paying jenny for extra exp there isn't a jenny or material reward.
The same train of thought brought me to a system for mentors. The HxH story is filled with mentor figures who train our heroes to new heights. It would be cool if our characters could have/could be such a mentor character. We wouldn't be able to make much use of it yet as all our characters are rather close in strength, but as the site gets older and the power of members becomes diversified a mentor system would be more useful at that time. It would allow newer players to catch up with slightly less difficulty and would encourage older players to interact with newer players.
RP site veterans tend to turn into self-important hermits once their power level hits 9,000 or so. So potentially by signing up as mentor-student partners the mentor gains bonus exp for rping with their mentor and the mentor can get.... whatever mentors get for training people.
Naturally to stop two people of equal power mentors will have to be a substantial amount more powerful then their students. This would also prevent new members going from zero to pro exceptionally fast. Seeing as a mentor must always be a certain amount more powerful then the student to get bonus exp if the student catches up to the mentor too fast they will stop getting bonus exp.
But I'm not a math wizard so I don't don't know what numbers would be fair for any of this. Thoughts?
